Privacy Policy

This policy describes the data practices of KOdex, run by the operators of kodex.bot. KOdex is a website for combat-robot ratings and records. It has no user accounts and does not run analytics or tracking tools.

We do not collect personal data beyond what is needed to operate the site. Like most websites, our hosting provider may keep standard server logs (for example, IP address, request time, user agent, and the page requested) for security and reliability. We do not use this information to build profiles or to identify individual visitors.

KOdex currently has no sign-up, login, or user-account system, so we do not store names, email addresses, or passwords from visitors.

KOdex sets two functional cookies. They are not used for advertising, analytics, or cross-site tracking.

• kodex-theme remembers the color family you choose (for example, Catppuccin or Nord) so the site renders in your preferred palette on your next visit. It stores only the family name.
• kodex-mode remembers your light or dark mode theme preference. It stores only the value "light" or "dark".

Because these cookies are strictly functional (they only remember display preferences you set), they carry no tracking purpose. If we ever add analytics or accounts, we will update this policy and add any consent mechanism that may then be required.

The ratings and records shown on KOdex are derived from NHRL-ruleset competition data sourced through an upstream data pipeline. We display publicly available competition results (bot names, results, and ratings) and do not publish driver or team personal details. See the About page for the full data-source disclosure.

You can clear or block the theme cookie in your browser settings; the site will simply fall back to its default theme. For questions about this policy, or to raise a data-related request, contact admin@kodex.bot. Because the underlying competition data is maintained upstream, some requests about source records may need to be directed to the data source; we will help route those where we can. Cleaning the data from the various endpoints has been a challenge, and we cannot promise that ever record is perfectly accurate, so you are invited to contact us first if you have questions about the data or want to report an error, so as not to inundate the very busy NHRL dev team with questions that may not pertain to their source data.
